Where is Hotel Riposo al Bosco?
In San Vigilio di Marebbe (St. Vigil in Enneberg) in South Tyrol, Italy, at about 1,200 metres, Str. Catarina Lanz 57. The hotel lies at the edge of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage area, at the foot of Kronplatz. Brunico is about 17 km away, Corvara in Alta Badia about 26 km.
How do I get to San Vigilio?
By car, take the Bressanone/Val Pusteria motorway exit and follow the Puster Valley road. At San Lorenzo turn into Val Badia, and at Longega follow the signs to San Vigilio. Parking is available at the hotel.
By train, travel to Brunico, from where buses run regularly to San Vigilio. The nearest airports are Bolzano, Innsbruck and Verona. More under enquiries and directions.
Does the ski bus stop at the hotel?
Yes. The free ski bus stops right in front of the hotel and takes you to the Kronplatz lifts in a few minutes. You can keep ski and snowboard boots in our ski room with boot warmers.
Which ski area is on the doorstep?
Kronplatz, with 125 km of slopes and 32 lifts, including the World Cup run Erta right above San Vigilio. It is part of Dolomiti Superski: one ski pass covers twelve ski areas with about 1,200 km of slopes. Via the Piculin lift and the ski bus you reach Alta Badia and the Sellaronda. Is the Sky Pool open in winter?
Yes. Our Infinity Sky Pool is on the top floor under the open sky and is open in summer and winter. Next to it are the Finnish sauna, the Turkish steam bath, the infrared sauna and a relaxation area with water beds. More under Wellness & SPA.
What meals does the hotel offer?
We offer half board: a generous breakfast buffet and, in the evening, Ladin, South Tyrolean and international dishes by head chef Simon Complojer. Once a week we invite you to the Cena Ladina, a Ladin candlelight dinner. In summer, warm dishes are also served at lunchtime. More under cuisine.
Can you cater for allergies and intolerances?
Please let us know about allergies and intolerances before you arrive. We will then discuss together what is possible.
Do you have rooms for families?
Yes. The Fanes Room (26–32 m²) and the Suite Cima Nove (39–44 m²) sleep 2 to 4 people, the other rooms 2 to 3. All rooms have a balcony with a panoramic view and Wi-Fi. All rooms at a glance: rooms and suites.
Is there parking and a charging station for electric cars?
Yes. You can park right at the hotel, and a charging station for electric cars is available.
What can you do on a rainy day?
In the hotel there is the Sky Pool with SPA and our bowling alley with four fully automatic lanes, next to the bar and lounge. In San Vigilio the nature park visitor centre shows the cave bear from the Conturines; on Kronplatz you will find the LUMEN and MMM Corones museums, and in San Martino in Badia the Museum Ladin.
Which hikes start right in San Vigilio?
The Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park begins just behind the village. The most popular way in is the Tres la Val trail through the Rautal valley to Pederü, about 10 km and almost flat. You return by shuttle bus. From Pederü you climb to the Fanes, Lavarella, Sennes and Fodara Vedla huts. More under summer in San Vigilio and Discover South Tyrol.
What are the cancellation terms?
A deposit of 30% of the total amount is required to confirm the booking. Cancellations are only accepted in writing by e-mail. Up to 14 days before arrival, the deposit can be converted into a voucher valid for 9 months. For later cancellations or no-shows, the deposit is retained.
